HEY THERE...

I'm happy that you're here.

I'm Tracy.

I have long been considered a canary in a coal mine, as I’m highly sensitive to chemicals.  And while this 'predicament' has been, without a doubt, one of my life’s biggest burdens, it’s also been one of its greatest blessings.

Invisible toxins have been wreaking havoc on my health for the majority of my lifetime (sixty-plus years now!), and I often endure the ill-effects of an unhealthy environment or substance long before anyone else does (IF they ever do).

I suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, General Anxiety Disorder, a spectrum of allergies, arthritis, immune issues, digestive distress, Long Covid, Epstein-Barr, and more.   As debilitating as these chronic conditions can be, they are what ultimately inspire me to choose safer, natural alternatives to the chemically laden products that are commonly consumed. And for that, I’m forever grateful!

The old saying, ‘you’ve gotta pick your poison,’ couldn’t ring more true than it does today!

My quest for chemical-free, clean living is three decades in now.  It’s been a long, rarely easy, often lonely journey — and not always with evident success.  Even now, after thirty years, I still face health challenges (many exacerbated by Long Covid), but I remain steadfast in my mission, recognizing that I am rewarded 'enough' and am, ultimately, all the better for my efforts...when all is said and done.

Following a physical exam once, a naturopath incredulously revealed that I didn’t have a lot of “residual chemicals” in my blood, “like most folks do.”  Of course, this was much-welcomed news! I've worked long and hard at avoiding toxins, and it was, evidently, paying off.  Yay me!  But, at that precise moment, I also became painfully aware of the heavy toxic burden most people are carrying, often unknowingly.

In the late 80s, a study found that Inuit women had chemicals in their breast milk — chemicals they’d never directly consumed, but had ingested through contaminated air and water that traveled thousands of miles to reach them. More recently, I read that “forever chemicals” (found in things one would believe to be benign — like toilet paper) are showing up in the livers of Orca whales.

We are all connected, and the dangers of the toxins we’re consuming are not confined to our own human bodies and homes.

As I quickly came to understand the evasive and devastating effects of many common chemicals, I jumped on the “toxic-free” bandwagon — not just to protect myself, but to protect all living beings and, of course, this beautiful planet that we collectively call "home."

Clean living is about more than just avoiding harmful products. It’s a holistic, heartfelt approach to living — in which we continually question how we are engaging with the world.

“Is what I’m thinking, doing, buying, or believing truly serving me, and the greater good of all concerned?”

If you’ve found yourself asking similar questions and are interested in exploring a healthier, more conscious way of living, I'd love to connect with you — whether you're just beginning your journey or have been at it for years, there's always more to discover and share.

A wise woman once said that “Self-reflection is a solo journey…that cannot be traveled alone.”

I quite agree.

I hope we will continue to explore, learn, and grow together as we journey toward living cleaner and more intentional lives.

Please reach out with any comments, questions, or stories. Your perspective is always appreciated.

Wishing you wellness.
